AUBREY'S DREAM COME TRUE!

Aubrey was so excited to meet Prince Charming and Cinderella. Meeting a Princess is Aubrey's dream come true. We waited in line for over an hour, during which time she was so excited! Prince Charming made his way down the line and Aubrey got to try on Cinderella's glass slipper. She calmly and matter of factly stated that "Prince Charming was a handsome stud".

After about 30 minutes of waiting we finally were able to see Cinderella. Aubrey was in awe! "Oh Mommy, Cinderella is beautiful like me" and "I so excited" was said over and over again for the next 30 minutes. When it was finally Aubrey's turn she handed Cinderella a flower she had picked and then became extremely shy. When her turn was over and we headed to the car she kept saying "How exciting, I cant wait to tell Caleb!"

Life is nice.....This past week has been a weird week!
But I guess some weeks aren't as smooth as others!

Caleb is out of diapers (YAHOO) and he lets the entire world know. Anyone and everyone that says hi to him at any time his replay is always "Hi, I go potty like a Big Boy" or "Hi, I have undies!" He is loud and proud (when I say loud that is an understatement....he is soooooooooo loud). You often hear Caleb singing BA, BA, BLACK sheep and the ABC song...which becomes extremely annoying but at least I always know where he is!!

Aubrey has been awesome this week. She is in "BIG SISTER" mode and tries to be the peacemaker. She has been more willing to have "QUIET TIME" but if you listen closely you can here her singing "High School Musical" songs or having a tea party. Now that I am in primary with her I see a more social side to her. She always has to sit by her best friend Colby (I play volleyball with his mom) and when the music leader tells everyone to sing loud she is that primary child who sings as loud as her little voice can go (I was shocked and so were all of the other primary leaders)!

Ainsley is a terror! She wont sit and eat, she wont sit still, and she breaks through my home made baby gate. She wont take a morning nap, she wont say MA MA, and she takes out all of the cute bows I put in her hair! She is finally cutting her 6th tooth and she can finally CLAP!! Yahoo!

Although this past week was a weird week today made it all worth it. Today Family Dinner was mandatory! And by family dinner I mean everyone has to be eating the same thing at the same time. I made Goolosh...Caleb said a nice prayer and everyone ate....UNBELIEVABLE!!! We talked about funny family things and then Aubrey and Caleb both asked for more! What a perfect end to a funky week!

DESITIN!
Why are my kids obsessed with DESITIN?
It doesn't matter where we hide it, they find it!
Story: Around 10:30 Ainsley woke up from her nap and I put her in her high chair to feed her some sweet potatoes. It had been raining all day so Aubrey and Caleb were restless. We had spent the morning having a tea party, making "green eggs and ham", and playing pirate. We had also had play-doh and coloring time and they helped me with a "top secret mission" of folding the clothes. I put MAX AND RUBY on for them to watch so I could feed Ainsley and I kept hearing giggles. Aubrey kept saying "Mommy I make a necklace!" and "KK looks like Daddy!" I thought they were wanting to play dress up so I said for them to hold on a minutes. When giggles persisted and Aubrey yeld "Mommy, look I am very beautiful" I knew something was out of the ordinary so I peeked around the corner.....DESITIN EVERYWHERE. Caleb was pretending to shave and Aubrey had made a necklace and bracelet of DESITIN. Boy oh Boy!!

CALEB
Recently my entire day needs to be focused on Caleb. I cant believe that this is the same little boy that was in the hospital just 3 months ago. My heart is full of love for him but my mind is going crazy.
As I sit here and type I just laugh...he has to touch, destroy, and/or eat everything! He always wants me to lay next to him during nap time but he never actually takes a nap. He is always "VERY" hungry but everything seems to end up on his shirt. He never sits,NEVER!
I love my little KK. He is a perfect fit into our little family.

Recently, over the past 2 weeks, I have realized that during the course of my day there are certain words I am going to hear everyday all day! Some of the words are wonderful and I look forward to hearing but other words are DREADED and I do everything I possibly can to avoid them!

AUBREY'S WORDS....
#1 Can I be Sleeping Beauty today Mommy?
(For Aubrey Sleeping Beauty is IT! Snow White, Tinker Bell, and Cinderella are acceptable only IF Sleeping Beauty is dirty)
#2 Am I very beautiful Mommy?

#3 Mommy, Where is my doodle pad?
I can not find my doodle pad?
Mommy go find my doodle pad!

#4 Where are my Cinderella shoes Mommy?
#5 I want to get married!
(When asked "Who do you want to marry?" she says, "I don't know yet" in a very irritated voice)
#6 I am cooking Green Eggs and Ham!
#7 UH OH Caleb!
(ALWAYS said coming for Caleb's direction)
#8 Give me back my kiss:)
(always said happily and she learned it from little bear)

CALEB'S WORDS:
Most of Caleb's words either end with him in time out or in a bath:)
#1 Look at me Mommy!
#2 KK very silly Mommy!
#3 Shake your bum bum, Shake your bum bum!
#4 I try to be butful (beautiful) Mommy!
#5 KK don't want to have to take a bath!
#6 KK sorry Mommy!
#7 KK not in trouble!

#8 Where's BOYNTON?
(usually associated with falling and getting hurt or time out)

AINSLEY WORDS....
Ainsley is so wonderful. We cant wait for her talk! She loves to give high fives and is walking better while holding onto things! She tries really hard to clap but with no success and she is cutting her 5th tooth!

FUN ON THE FARM!

Ainsley loves to soak up the sun and relax...for about 5 minutes and then she is ready to play!

Ainsley loves to stand and we often catch her taking baby steps to get where she wants! We love her "corky" smile and cant believe she is almost 9 months old!

Caleb is a tormentor! The minute he walked in to the Goat Pen he was chasing all of the goats around grabbing their ears or tails!

Aubrey is all girl!
She loves to play but tries to do it in the cleanest way possible!

You know how in the movie "The Wizard of Oz" Dorthy and her 2 friends are going down the yellow brick road. Suddenly they find themselves in a forest and they start to say "Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY"...."Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY". Each time they say it they say it a little louder and with a little more concern in their voice. That is how I feel my day and week go. It always starts with something small... Lions....
I clean up that sticky lollipop mess and I feel calm and relaxed thinking to myself "That wasn't so bad". But then I hear silence......Tigers...After discovering Aubrey's "secret" chocolate stash I had to strip off all the bed linens and put her in the bath tub. While doing this Caleb is "playing" or so I thought, but then I hear unusual silence (AGAIN). I made a mad dash to the scene of the crime.... Bears....Desitin Everywhere! I felt like I was going from room to room to room with an obstacle at each turn. Finally, after Caleb was given a bath I set him on the counter and went to find his toothbrush........OH MY!
In 2002 I would have never predicted that my life would have
followed such a crazy, but wonderful "yellow brick road".
